ICT Technician job summary
We are seeking a motivated, organised and customer-focused ICT Technician to join our IT team. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to play a key role in supporting the school's ICT infrastructure and ensuring that staff and learners have access to reliable, high-quality technology that enhances teaching, learning and the day-to-day operation of the school.
As one of the first points of contact for ICT support, you will provide technical assistance to staff and learners, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software and network issues in a timely and professional manner. You will use your initiative to prioritise a varied workload, working independently while contributing effectively as part of the wider IT support network.
The successful candidate will have excellent ICT and problem-solving skills, together with experience of supporting Windows devices, Microsoft 365 applications and networked environments. You will be confident installing, maintaining and troubleshooting a range of hardware and software and will be able to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and bespoke education systems. Experience of supporting Google Workspace, mobile device management, audiovisual equipment or Management Information Systems such as SIMS would be advantageous.
Applicants should be able to maintain accurate records, communicate effectively with staff, learners and external suppliers, and develop positive working relationships across the school community. A commitment to providing an excellent customer service, maintaining confidentiality and complying with data protection requirements, including GDPR, is essential.
