Inclusion and Engagement Assistant job summary

St Paul’s Way Trust School is seeking to appoint 2 enthusiastic and hardworking Inclusion and Engagement Assistant to ensure that students follow the school’s high expectations, in and out of the classroom

The successful candidate will support students both inside and outside the classroom under the direction of class teachers.

Key Tasks will include:

  • Being part of a team to support the implementation of the Behaviour for Learning Policy
  • Assisting with the smooth running of the school by supervising students throughout the day, paying particular attention to their safety and wellbeing before and after school
  • Supervision of the mid-day break and lunchtime
  • Modelling the behaviour expected for students at St Paul’s Way Trust School
  • Supporting staff with the delivery and implementation of identified interventions across the school 
  • To follow up punctuality and attendance issues by liaising with students, ​​parents and the attendance team 
  • The successful candidate for the role of Inclusion and Engagement Assistant will have:

  • A level 2 or equivalent qualification
  • GCSE English and Maths or equivalent 
  • The ability to work as part of a team and to develop and maintain positive relationships with teaching and support staff 
  • The ability to recognise and respond to the needs of children of different attainment levels 
  • Lead, motivate and inspire pupils, support staff and to forge positive relationships
