What skills and experience we're looking for
Who we are looking for
We would love to hear from you if you:
- GCSEs in Maths and English at grade C or above (or equivalent qualifications/grades)
- Experience of working with children in an educational setting, including experience supporting students with SEMH, SEND, or behaviour needs.
- Ability to build strong, positive relationships with young people and adults.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed, relational, de-escalation and restorative approaches.
- Commitment to inclusive education and improving student outcomes.
- Experience leading interventions or small group provisions to improve student wellbeing.
- Experience working in alternative provision settings or similar.
- Familiarity with reintegration planning and multi-agency working.
- Qualifications or training in relevant areas such as behaviour management, emotional coaching, SEND support, ELSA or Mental Health First Aid training desirable.

We are looking for an Inclusion and Wellbeing Lead for our Inclusion Hub. The successful candidate will join our experienced pastoral and SEND team, working collaboratively to meet the needs of all our students in a truly inclusive mainstream comprehensive setting. In this role, you will play a key part in improving student attendance and engagement, providing targeted support for individuals, and building positive relationships that foster a strong sense of belonging and community. You will work closely with families, external agencies, and staff to ensure students receive the right academic, emotional, and social support to succeed. You will set high expectations while championing equality and inclusion, ensuring all students feel valued and empowered. - Lead a bespoke provision within Twynham school to provide academic and pastoral support for students who have additional needs, with a focus on reintegration and engagement.
- Creatively plan, design and implement tailored packages for students with complex needs to enable them to thrive within a mainstream setting.
- Provide nurture and supportive interventions to improve students’ wellbeing and self-esteem.
- Work closely with students with mental health needs and SEND who may occasionally exhibit behavioural difficulties.
- Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people in accordance with our Safeguarding and Child Protection policies.
