Inclusion Room Coordinator
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Inclusion Room Coordinator to join our dynamic and supportive pastoral team to oversee our inclusion room, supporting small groups and individual students to manage their behaviour and academic progress.
Our intent is to support learning and personal development for disengaged students. This focus includes providing a core subject curriculum (English, Maths and Science) as well as strategies aimed at modifying/improving student behaviour and identifying/addressing any Special Educational Needs (SEN), so that re-integration into mainstream curriculum lessons can be successfully achieved, as soon as possible.
The Inclusion Room Coordinator will be responsible for the collation and organisation of students work, they will be expected to work closely with both the pastoral team, to help improve the student’s behaviour, and the curriculum leads to help improve the students’ academic progress. Furthermore, they will be expected to manage the student’s behaviour and attendance communicating regularly with parents / carers.
Key Duties
- To support learning and personal development for disengaged students and maintain a positive and well-managed learning environment in the Inclusion Room.
- Ensure intervention work is undertaken to improve student attitudes and behaviour to learning.
- Prepare, co-ordinate and deliver curriculum work; ensuring it is completed.
- Design and deliver reintegration plans, to successfully support students back into lessons.
- Support students pastorally and liaise with the pastoral team, teachers, curriculum leads, admin staff, other agencies and parents.
- Develop and manage, alternative curriculum and behaviour support packages for students and ensure the quality of the provision.
- Develop processes and procedures to enhance the delivery of the provision.
- Supervise detentions and or the inclusion room as required and support the pastoral team with all relevant duties.
- Encourage, raise self- esteem and promote confidence within the students with whom they work.
- Support staff with understanding effective behaviour strategies, to support students in school.

Salary: AS 15 FTE £30,334 actual pro rata salary £26,679
Contract: Permanent, Full-time, Term-Time +5 INSET,39 weeks per year, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.30am-4.30pm
