What skills and experience we're looking for

Thank you for your interest in the post of Inclusion Teacher at Reedley Primary School.

We would like to appoint a nurturing and reflective practitioner to oversee and deliver learning to a small group of children who are currently unable to access full time, mainstream education. The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning and high-quality teaching and learning for three small groups of children with differing needs, including sensory needs.

The Inclusion Teacher will:

- Take a strategic role in designing the learning environment.

- Work with a team of support staff to deliver effective teaching and learning in a calm and organised space.

- Help to adapt the Equals Curriculum and Primary Curriculum for our children.

- Bring learning to life through creative, motivating and inclusive learning experiences to ensure strong progress for every child.

- Work closely with support staff, deploying them effectively, to enhance learning and maximise impact.

- Set challenging yet accessible learning tasks that stimulate curiosity and engagement.

- Help pupils re-engage with learning, rebuild confidence, develop regulation and make meaningful academic and personal progress from their starting points.

- Reflect thoughtfully on their practice, using evaluation to continually improve teaching and learning.

Successful applicants will need at least 3 years working as a classteacher and will be able to provide an inclusive, high quality, challenging and effective learning environment which promotes high quality learning experiences for all children.
