IT Network Systems Technician job summary

The Howard Academy Trust is seeking a highly effective IT Network Systems Technician, to start from February/March 2026. This role will be based within the IT Department, as part of the Central Operations Team of the Trust.

The successful candidate will support and maintain the Trust’s network infrastructure, ensuring reliable connectivity and assisting with system administration tasks. They will be a proactive, hardworking self-starter with a sound understanding of IT support and the flexibility to travel between all schools within the Trust to fulfil day-to-day responsibilities. Access to a personal vehicle and holding a full UK driving licence are essential for this role. This position is well suited to an experienced IT or Desktop Support Technician seeking to further develop their network infrastructure expertise.

This is a full time, permanent role, all year round, paid on the NJC pay scale C1 point 12-19 (FTE £28,598 - £32,061).

The working pattern will consist of 37 hours per week, Monday-Friday, with a 30-minute unpaid break each day.
