IT Technician job summary
About this Role
As an IT Technician you will demonstrate a passion for enabling and supporting the use of IT to support the teaching and learning of pupils across the Trust, and a passion for using computing and technology in the classroom. You will possess a basic practical understanding of the principles of cyber-security and endpoint protection.
You will have experience of service desk tools (ideally aligned to ITIL best practice), and demonstrate experience in supporting a wide range of Microsoft cloud applications, services, and associated technologies. You will show working practical knowledge of Microsoft operating systems, Office desktop packages, and Microsoft Cloud SaaS applications, as well as Apple’s iOS and iPadOS operating systems. Ideally, you will have knowledge of server applications and associated technologies, and a working knowledge of network infrastructure solutions, topologies, and implementations.
The role will involve frequent site visits to provide support to end users - you will be
expected to represent IT Services in all your interactions with the schools and our
colleagues in other departments. As a shared IT Service covering multiple sites, you will
be expected to hold a full driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
