IT Technician job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a focused and committed individual to join the 17 strong team at Laurus Trust as an IT Technician. The successful applicant would contribute to the IT Team based at a school that best fits with their commute. You will become a key member of the Laurus Trust family, and will play a vital role in maintaining the high standards of the Trust.
This is an exciting opportunity for a personable and customer-focused candidate to develop their technology skillset, advance their career and to join a team of dedicated IT professionals who support and service the IT function across 6 secondary, 6 primary, 4 sixth forms and 1 alternative provision schools for over 10,000 users. You will become an integral part of an expanding and progressive organisation, and be a key contributor to the support and maintenance of the Trust IT provision which in turn will support the continued delivery of outstanding education to our students.If you would like to join our Laurus family in a rewarding role that changes the lives of our pupils by empowering them to become the best that they can be then we would love to hear from you.
Job Purpose
- To provide technical support and maintenance service for the IT provision across the schools in the Laurus Trust.
Key Skills & Experience
- Sound educational background including GCSE’s in Maths and English (A*-C) or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a similar IT based role.
- Basic understanding of computer networks.
