Key Stage 2 SEND Teaching Assistant job summary
We are looking for an inclusive practitioner with a passion for working with children with SEND who wants to make a difference in our community. Your role will be a ‘Key Worker’ who will mainly be working with key children in Key Stage 2 as their champion, providing interventions and classroom support across two-year groups. We are looking for a SEND focused Teaching Assistant who has high expectations for children and themselves and understands how to effectively deliver priorities both on EHCP’s and SEND support plans.
We are an inclusive school, with a recent OFSTED inspection (November 2023), very clear direction and high ambitions for the inclusive education all our Longwick Learners receive. We are a friendly and welcoming team who are passionate and positive about the work that we do.
Our school is part of the ODBST Trust which offers an array of CPD, support and career development and the Senior Leadership Team welcomes ambitious support staff wanting to further develop their career paths. Full training will be provided in role and STEP ON restorative focused behaviour training will be provided when in post.
Visits to the school to meet the Headteacher and SENDCo are strongly encouraged.
Hours : 8:30 am - 3:30 pm, 32.5 hours a week, Term time plus Inset Days (39 weeks)
