Gerrans School is a small school with an emphasis on a strong community feel. We celebrate and capitalize on all the positive aspects of a small school.

Located on the Roseland Peninsula, we try to use our beautiful local surroundings to enhance our curriculum as much as possible whilst establishing links and opportunities to explore and understand the wider and different world.

We aim to encourage every individual to become an active, confident learner prepared to take risks and learn from mistakes.

The team is extremely proud of our school and the cheerful and happy atmosphere that exists.

We are also proud to be part of The Roseland Trust and work closely alongside staff and pupils from Tregony Primary, The Roseland Academy, Treviglas Academy and Falmouth School. The Trust’s mission is “to provide outstanding education for our communities, where everyone succeeds” and we put our staff at the heart of everything we do to create a team spirit in our highly successful schools.

Currently, there are 70 pupils on roll taught across three classes. Tatams (EYFS) Towan (Y1/2/3) and Porthcurnick (Y4/5/6).

We are very lucky to have extensive outside spaces which we use to support learning as well as physical and social development. Over the last couple of years, our end of year production and nativity plays have been performed outside within the school grounds, even with a donkey and sheep from our local community!

Visitors to our school remark on the friendly polite children whom show respect for one another and adults.
