Kitchen Assistant job summary

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Kitchen Assistant to work alongside our expanding catering team and to take responsibility for food preparation, cooking and service of meals in school under the guidance of the line manager.

We are looking for someone with basic food preparation and hygiene knowledge, Literacy and Numeracy skills to enable the post holder to follow instructions for food preparation, hygiene and health and safety issues and experience of food preparation, presentation and serving of meals. A current Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate is desirable, but not essential.
