Kitchen Assistant (Term Time Only) job summary
St Georges CofE (Aided) Primary School are looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join our friendly and hardworking school kitchen team and help keep the heart of our school running smoothly.
This post is for 20.5 hours per week, term time only (38 weeks)
Mon-10.30-2.00
Tues-9.00-2.00
Wed10.30-2.00
Thurs-9.00-2.00
Fri-10.30-2.00
The Role
As a Kitchen Assistant, you will support the kitchen team in delivering nutritious lunches to our pupils. Your duties will include:
- Assisting with food preparation
- Keeping the kitchen clean, safe, and tidy at all times
- Washing up and maintaining kitchen equipment
- Supporting the team to ensure lunchtime runs smoothly
- Serving food to our pupils in a friendly and welcoming manner
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Reliable, friendly, and hardworking
- A team player with a positive attitude and a good sense of humour
- Happy to work in a busy school environment
Previous experience is welcome but not essential — full training will be provided.
