What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking for a reliable, creative, and motivated Kitchen Assistant to support the smooth and safe running of our school kitchen(s); someone with the knowledge and skills who would relish the opportunity to join our passionate team to help provide healthy, fresh, nutritious food for pupils and staff.

We are a unique all-through school (Nursery to Year 13), looking to appoint an exceptional Kitchen Assistant whoshares our values and determination.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and conscientious kitchen assistant who:
- has experience of preparing fresh interesting and nutritious meals;
- has a good grasp of multiple cooking methods and an understanding of correct cooking procedures such as blanching, searing, grilling, steaming, browning and sautéing ;
- can work with the head chef/sous chef on recipes and menu ideas;
- has the ability to read and complete simple instructions, such as cleaning rota, work rota and temperature control;
- is able to understand seasonality and seasonally appropriate foods;
- is able to work within health & safety standards and food hygiene regulations;
- have strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.
