All children and schools have had a challenging year with COVID-19. At Twerton we are a small, dedicated and supportive team working in a diverse community and we have been at the heart of ensuring children are provided with the best education and practical support. As we look to brighter days ahead, we now have the opportunity to welcome a new colleague to our team.
Twerton Infant School and Nursery is a 2-form entry infant school with an onsite Nursery. We are an LA Maintained School and not part of a Multi Academy Trust. The school has an established reputation for being both inclusive and responsive to children’s individual needs.
We have an excellent on-site Forest School area, which enables us to offer fantastic provision for all children, including those with additional needs. We also follow the Thrive approach, which supports children’s wellbeing and mental health. Our motto is ‘Twerton Infant School - the School that Cares’ and this is embedded in everything we do. We have a stimulating Curriculum that allows space for children’s own interests and questions to be explored and celebrated alongside the prioritisation of Early Reading and Language Development across the school. You can learn more about the school and our Curriculum by visiting the School website and reading our Curriculum Intent Statement:
