Key Responsibilities

As a KS1 Class Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons in line with the National Curriculum
  • Set high expectations that inspire, motivate, and challenge pupils
  • Promote good progress and outcomes for all learners
  • Adapt teaching to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND
  • Create a stimulating and safe classroom environment
  • Assess, record, and report on pupil progress
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to year group planning
  • Maintain positive behaviour and uphold the school’s ethos
  • Engage with parents and carers to support pupil learning and well-being
  • Participate in staff meetings, INSET, and ongoing professional development
  • Safeguard and promote the welfare of all pupils at all times
What We’re Looking For
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching in KS1 (or successful teaching practice)
  • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum
  • Ability to plan creative, differentiated lessons that inspire and challenge
  • Commitment to inclusion and understanding of diverse learning needs
  • Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
  • A reflective practitioner committed to continuous professional development
  • Passion for making a real difference to children’s lives
