KS1 Teacher job summary
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and inspiring KS1 Teacher to join our school. The successful candidate will deliver consistently high-quality lessons within Key Stage 1, helping pupils develop secure foundations, confidence and a love of learning.
East Lane Primary School is a co-educational primary school in North Wembley serving pupils aged 4-11. As part of the Wembley Multi Academy Trust, the school benefits from strong collaboration, shared expertise and a clear commitment to academic excellence across the Trust. We are proud of our high standards and our reputation for delivering a structured, disciplined and ambitious education for all pupils.
Our mission is clear: to provide a structured, purposeful and nurturing learning environment in which every pupil receives exceptional teaching and achieves their full potential. As a learning community with a strong work ethic, we place particular emphasis on excellence in English, Mathematics and the Sciences, ensuring that pupils develop secure foundations and a love of learning from an early age.
Within Key Stage 1, we prioritise systematic synthetic phonics, early reading, language development, writing and mathematical fluency. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of how young children learn, support a successful transition from the Early Years Foundation Stage and deliver an engaging, ambitious curriculum. They will use assessment effectively to identify pupils’ next steps and adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including pupils with SEND and disadvantaged pupils.
The successful candidate will establish positive classroom routines, maintain high expectations and promote pupils’ confidence, independence and enthusiasm for learning. They will work collaboratively with colleagues and build positive relationships with families to support pupils’ learning and wellbeing.
Supported by modern facilities, significant investment in resources, and a team of highly trained and dedicated staff, we foster a culture of mutual respect, ambition and continuous improvement. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a talented teacher to make a meaningful impact and develop their classroom practice within a high-performing and aspirational school.
