We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic TA to work at Sprowston Infant School. Experience in EYFS or KS1 is essential, as well as an ability to assess children’s learning and development and planning for their next steps. The role will be full time in KS1. The role is likely to include one afternoon a week covering the class with an additional TA and half an hour MSA daily.

The successful candidate will have:

Essential:

  • Level 2 teaching assistant qualification
  • Previous experience of working with EYFS/ KS1 children in a school setting
  • Excellent communication skills
  • The ability to work under the direction of the teacher, but is able to use their own initiative to support learning
  • The ability to establish a positive relationship with children, parents and staff
  • A secure knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage and/or KS1 curriculum

Desirable:

  • Level 3 teaching assistant qualification
  • Experience of planning in the moment/ and or continuous provision in KS1
  • Paediatric first aid training
  • Full driving license
