About us

Alston Lane Catholic Primary School and Nursery is part of the Mater Ecclesiae Catholic MAT. We are a single form entry school with a record of high standards and high expectations. It is an excellent school for staff at all levels to develop professionally. We are a good school with outstanding religious provision.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated teacher to work in Year 4 from 1st September 2025. Initially, this is a temporary position for one year but it may well become permanent in subsequent years.

The successful candidate will have high expectations in all areas of school life and a passion for ensuring the highest possible outcomes for pupils. They will work within our Key Stage 2 team and benefit from rich professional development and support, relevant to the role. They will deliver a broad and balanced curriculum with the development of skills, knowledge and prior learning central to their teaching.

In our Catholic school, it is desirable for staff to have a strong personal faith, but essential for them to fully immerse themselves in the Catholic teaching of the school. Early career teachers are welcome to apply. We offer a highly supportive environment for teachers, at all levels, to develop.
