Thank you for considering joining our trust. I am very proud to be the CEO of the Brighter Futures Learning Partnership Trust (BFLPT); it is a privilege to work with passionate, like-minded colleagues who are all focussed on delivering the best educational provision for the children and young people of Doncaster. We are a multi-academy trust serving the local needs of our community with great passion; we have a team of highly committed staff, governors, local businesses and trustees who are committed to creating and delivering a world-class trust vision.

A big vision lies at the heart of the BFLPT; excellence is at the heart of all that we do and with this in mind, we aim to be one of the highest performing and unique trusts in the country, acknowledging that every child is different. As such, our curriculum offer will be shaped to reflect the diversity of our learners and their needs if they are to excel and develop into the next generation of highly skilled learners and innovators.

Our vision is to create teaching and learning which is inspirational, challenging and relevant to the 21st century where every child and young person can fulfil their potential. We are also committed to developing outstanding pastoral care which we know is an essential ingredient in ensuring that every child can flourish to develop the knowledge, skills and attributes which will enable them to have the widest possible choice of career pathways.

We are unique in that our family of schools includes; four Doncaster primary schools, an infant school, an 11-16 secondary school and Doncaster University Technical College, a newly built state of the art school with specialisms in engineering and digital design.

The successful candidate will be based at Dunsville Primary School but may be required to work elsewhere within Trust, as may reasonably be required by the Headteacher/Principal, CEO for the discharge of your duties.

Dunsville Primary School serves the children in our local community and more recently children from outside the catchment area. We offer provision for children from the age of 3 to 11. Currently we have eight classes and a nursery which offers 15-hours provision or 30-hours provision dependent on parental choice. We run a Foundation Stage unit that allows free flow play between Reception and Nursery and an enriched learning environment for children to have first-hand experiences in.

Our vision is to provide “Excellence and Enjoyment” for the children who come to our school. We do this through offering a curriculum for our children that is enriched and designed for them and makes real links to embed skills, knowledge and understanding.

We have high expectations of attainment but are equally passionate about offering care for all of our children as individuals. We care for one another and consider ourselves to all be learners together. We pride ourselves on working with families and offering them and the children pastoral support for a range of needs. Our recent Ofsted inspection graded us as ‘Good’ in all areas:

Leaders have created a learning environment in which pupils thrive. Adults are excellent role models. They work well as a team to support pupils. (Ofsted, November 2022)

We promote a love of reading and invest extensively in providing children with books and reading materials that captivate their imaginations and interests. We teach children phonics using Essential Letters & Sounds and develop their understanding of texts using Reciprocal Reading.

We teach Maths using the Maths Mastery approach and provide children with opportunities to discuss their Maths learning using subject specific vocabulary to enable them to take ownership of their learning.

Overall at Dunsville, we are a team. Everyone is as important as each other in providing the very best we can for our children each and every day. Every day is different and every day we see children grow in confidence, knowledge, understanding and skills. That is what makes working at Dunsville so worthwhile.

As a school, we will offer:
• a warm, friendly and caring ethos;
• the opportunity to work with a highly supportive and dedicated team of staff;
• a high level of professional support and development;
• an opportunity to innovate and take risks.
Being part of our Trust will offer you a fantastic opportunity to develop yourself, and, have a strong influence on pupil outcomes across our family of schools. We actively encourage collaboration and the sharing of good practice; we believe that by developing a love of learning and having the highest expectations, all children and young people can excel.
