Your new school Lift Percy Shurmer is a large two-form entry primary academy that currently has 450 pupils aged from 3 to 11, which also includes 39 children in the Nursery and 22 deaf pupils in our Deaf Learning Base (DLB). The school is led by an ambitious and dedicated Principal, Miss Duffy, who has been with the school since 2015. She has established a strong and personable team and in 2023 were graded 'Outstanding' by Ofsted, who recognised "parents are overwhelmingly positive about the quality of education their children receive.'' They are now looking for an enthusiastic KS2 teacher to teach Year 3. Your new role Lift Percy Shurmer is part of Lift Schools, one of the largest MATs in the country, allowing you access to the best training and CPD courses. You will be able to take subject-specific training that enhances subject knowledge, attend events with inspirational guest speakers and offer continuous career progression. What you'll need to succeed You will be a qualified teacher who has patience and understanding with young children. You'll be able to quickly adjust teaching methods to meet the needs of all children. Lift Percy Shurmer and Lift Montgomery are led by an Executive Principal and one management board. Each school has a Head of School. Our Curriculum

We believe that children learn best when their learning experiences are evocative, therefore we teach most of our subjects through a connected curriculum. This works by delivering a different theme in each year group for each term throughout the year. The curriculum is planned so that as many learning experiences as possible are linked to this theme; this allows the children to see that their skills are all connected. During the children's learning we try to integrate as many real life experiences as possible that are related to the area they are studying. Literacy, Numeracy and ICT underline our curriculum to ensure that the key skills children need for success, are fully learned before the children move on to secondary education.
