We are looking for an experienced KS2 teacher to join one of our federation schools from the Spring term.
Just under 30 minutes of picturesque driving from Norwich (travelling in the opposite direction to most cars!) is The AIM Federation - an established federation of six schools and an SEMH Base located along the beautiful North Norfolk Coast and the Norfolk Broads.
Not only will you be joining a dedicated and hardworking team at Horning Primary School, you’ll be collaborating with a wider team of around 130 staff in total, across the six schools, working together and striving to deliver the very best education for our local communities.
AIM Federation takes your CPD very seriously. One of our Deputy Executive Headteachers is responsible for Teaching and Learning, Standards and CPD across the six schools, and supports the development of our curriculum alongside our Heads of School and their school teams. Our DEH has the time to research into the latest and most effective pedagogies which develop our forward thinking curriculum and staff team. Working in small schools can sometimes feel isolating but at AIM Federation we plan and learn together across the federation, facilitated by our DEH. This, amongst other support takes the form of skeleton lesson plans and highly resourced planning packs which help to reduce teacher’s workload and allow them more time to concentrate on innovative teaching. We also used this joined-up approach to assess and moderate children’s work, allowing us to all learn and improve our practice together. We also offer personalised CPD for all of our teachers and support staff, no matter what their level of experience. Our Training Suite used for all off-site training is based at Horning Primary, equidistant between our schools.
We are looking for someone who is:
- Passionate about Primary education
- Experienced in KS2
- Dedicated to changing children’s life chances
- Able to work creatively, innovatively and develop pupils’ self-belief
- Able to work flexibly and dynamically
- Committed to listening to children and responding to their individual needs.
- Reflective, with a desire to adapt and innovate their practice as necessary.
