What skills and experience we're looking for
Are you excited about changing direction from Mainstream teaching to SEMH or perhaps you are an already experienced SEMH teacher looking for a new challenge?
Do you believe you have what it takes to work with some amazingly vibrant young people?
Then why not come and join us at King’s Oak SEMH Secondary School, part of the Imperium Federation?
We are looking for an amazingly skilled teacher to come and join our outstanding SEMH secondary school within the heart of the Royal Borough of Greenwich to become a KS3 Teacher.
Although we are a specialist secondary school, we proactively welcome enquiries from experienced mainstream colleagues who would like to extend their skill base as well as experienced Year 6 teachers who are looking to expand their skills.
The main school supports pupils who have an EHCP and whose behaviours have made it difficult to be educated within a mainstream class. They are intelligent, vibrant and willing to learn! Our successes are awe inspiring due to the wonderful commitment and drive of our team - with our pupils achieving the same and in some cases better GCSE’s than their mainstream counterparts.
All applicants need to have the Right to Work in the UK to be considered for this role.
We welcome informal discussions and visits. Please contact Meic Griffiths - Executive Headteacher for King’s Oak SEMH Secondary and Waterside Primary, Outreach, Nest, Nurture and Nook Schools or Jill Smith - Head of School (King's Oak).
Please note: Imperium Federation (Borough maintained not multi academy trust) is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and we expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All posts are subject to pre-employment checks. References will be sought and successful candidates will need to undertake an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
What the school offers its staff
We can offer a highly supportive and skilled team to work with, as well as some amazing young people, who want to work with you in supporting their behaviours - whilst helping them to move forward with both their academic and vocational studies.
Commitment to safeguarding
The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and we expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All posts are subject to pre-employment checks. References will be sought and successful candidates will need to undertake an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
