Archway School is experiencing an exciting phase of growth, with a significant increase in student numbers allowing us to expand our team. You’ll be joining a dynamic and supportive group of staff who are committed to enhancing opportunities for all students.
Our Science department was recently praised in our latest Ofsted inspection for its determination and capacity to improve—reflected in a significant rise in GCSE results. Science is a key focus area at Archway and a popular choice at A-level, with increasing student numbers across all year groups.
We are now seeking to appoint a Laboratory Technician to support our thriving department.
Qualifications:
- GCSE Grade C (or equivalent) in English, Maths, and Science
- At least one A-level qualification in a Science subject is desirable

Job Title: Laboratory Technician
Grade: 4 (points 7 – 10) Salary Range:
£26,403 - £27,694 per annum, pro rata
Actual salary:
(£20,882 - £21,903)
Work Location: School Based
Conditions: 35 hours per week, term time only
(7 hours per day, 5 days a week)
We can be flexible with these hours for the right candidate.
