Lansdowne Primary Academy is part of the Gateway Learning Community [GLC] which is a partnership between one secondary and four primary schools located within Tilbury and Chadwell in the borough of Thurrock to the east of London. This is a demanding, high-impact leadership role for those who believe that the quality of teaching is the single most powerful lever for improving the life chances of our pupils. At the GLC, we are fundamentally passionate about teaching; we require a driven leader who will maintain a regular teaching commitment and lead by example from the front of the classroom. You will be an expert coach [preferably with knowledge of Steplab, working in partnership with our existing teaching and learning team to lead teacher development through a deep understanding of the science of learning. Our vision is clear: we teach for understanding, retention, and the application of knowledge. We are looking for a practitioner who is deeply committed to evidence-informed research and possesses the grit to drive academic outcomes.
