What skills and experience we're looking for

Comet Nursery School and Children's Centre is an Outstanding maintained nursery school in the heart of Hoxton. We are delighted to be expanding our provision to include children from 9 months old and are seeking an exceptional Lead Early Years Educator to help establish our brand-new under 2s room, Rainbow Room. This is a unique opportunity to join a new provision from the very beginning and play a key role in creating a nurturing, stimulating and high-quality learning environment for our youngest children.

As the Lead Early Years Educator, you will play a key role in working alongside senior leads to establish Rainbow Room, leading high-quality practice and supporting the development of colleagues.

We are looking for a practitioner who:

  • Is passionate about early childhood education and achieving the best outcomes for children.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership skills, inspiring and supporting colleagues to deliver high-quality practice.
  • Understands how babies and toddlers learn and develop.
  • Can create engaging learning environments both indoors and outdoors.
  • Has high expectations for all children.
  • Values strong partnerships with families.
  • Is reflective, enthusiastic and committed to continuous professional development.
