Lead Pupil Support Manager, KS3 job summary

The Dean Trust is seeking to appoint a talented and enthusiastic Lead Pupil Support Manager (KS3) to join our dedicated team at Abraham Moss Community School, Crescent Road, Crumpsall, Manchester, M8 5UF. You will be working 40 hour per week from 8.00 to 4.30 each day.

The core purpose of the role will be:

  • To provide a complementary service to existing teachers and pastoral staff in
  • school, addressing the needs of children to help them overcome barriers to
  • learning both in and outside school, in order to achieve their full potential.
  • To promote optimum student performance and achievement by supporting
  • student attendance, behaviour and learning.
  • To improve communication and collaboration across the Pupil Support Team.

Key responsibilities:

  • To work closely with SLT to analyse the effectiveness of existing behaviour systems and protocols to inform future planning;
  • To work closely with Middle Leaders and other relevant staff on all matters relating to pupil support to ensure effective communication and enhance provision;
  • To line manage the Pupil Support Managers and Pupil Support Assistants to ensure consistency and collaboration across the team and to ensure appropriate training and development opportunities are identified;
  • To ensure that pupils are familiar with the standards and expectations of the school;
  • To engage effectively with parents and carers and enhance the reputation of the school in the local community.
