Lead Teacher of Science (3 posts) Main Pay Range/Upper Pay Range plus TLR 2C £7,017 per annum Required for September 2022 This is an exceptional opportunity for a candidate to teach science at a secondary school within Tyne Coast Academy Trust Walker Riverside Academy, (Waverdale Avenue, Walker, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE6 4AW), North East Futures UTC (Stephenson Square, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE1 3AS) and Monkwearmouth Academy (Torver Crescent, Seaburn Dene, Sunderland, SR6 0LG) and undertake some subject leadership responsibilities across the three Tyne Coast Academy Trust Secondary Schools. The Trust has a strategically developed growth plan to increase the size of the MAT which will provide excellent career development opportunities. We are seeking to appoint an inspirational teacher teach Science and undertake some subject leadership responsibilities across three secondary schools in the Trust which will cover Key Stages 3 and 4 and a small Key Stage 5 at the UTC. You will be an excellent classroom practitioner with the ability to provide professional subject leadership, which secures success and improvement ensuring high quality education, improved standards of learning, progress and achievement of all students. You will be expected to: • Lead on developing and ensuring the delivery of an appropriate, comprehensive, high quality curriculum • Have a passion for teaching and learning showing good classroom practice, promoting learning based on good subject knowledge with the ability to support other colleagues in this area • Contribute to the drive for high expectations of achievement, attainment and behaviour across the academies in which you will be based • Have high expectations of all students. We are looking for experienced Science teachers with a vision for success, the ability to lead teams of staff across more than one school and the ability to work effectively with students, staff and parents. In return you will receive a supportive induction programme, on-going professional development and strong, consistent support from a dedicated Deputy CEO, and Academy Head Teachers / Principals and their leadership teams.
