Required from January 2021 for 12 months to cover Maternity Leave
We are seeking to recruit an experienced inspirational and creative teacher who wants to begin their journey into leadership, to lead a teaching and learning group for Complex Communication (including Autism) on our main site. The West Specialist Inclusive Learning Centre (SILC) was opened in January 2005 following the amalgamation of Milestone Special School and Victoria Park Special School.
Students are aged between 3 and 19 with a range of learning difficulties and disabilities. All students have an Educational Health Care Plan.
Staff provide high quality on-site learning developed and delivered by specialist staff.
The school has excellent inclusive partnerships with mainstream schools, where SILC students are supported by specialist staff.
Staff provide SEN support for other mainstream schools in the West Wedge
Staff work closely with health professional including nursing, physiotherapy, speech and language therapists, occupational therapy as well as social care.
Staff provide advice and support for parents of strudents with special educational needs
