About us and the role
We are seeking a Learning Coach to join the team at Avanti Brook Primary School, supporting children to access learning, develop their confidence and achieve their potential.
Working closely with teachers and inclusion colleagues, you will provide flexible support across the classroom, through small-group interventions and individual support where appropriate, adapting your approach to meet different learning needs. You will have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with children, understand their individual strengths and needs, and help them to feel confident, valued and included in their learning.
The role offers variety, with the opportunity to work with different children and groups, respond to their needs and contribute to a positive and engaging classroom environment. You will work as part of a supportive team, sharing ideas and working closely with colleagues to ensure children receive the right support to thrive.

What will you do?
- Support teachers in creating an inclusive, engaging learning environment where every child can access the curriculum and achieve their potential.
- Build positive relationships with children, providing flexible whole-class, small-group and individual support tailored to their needs, strengths and learning.
- Deliver targeted interventions and support children with SEND or English as an additional language, adapting approaches in line with guidance and individual learning plans.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, inclusion colleagues, families and external professionals to support children’s learning, wellbeing, development and inclusion.
- Promote positive behaviour, safeguarding and wellbeing while contributing to the wider life of the school and taking an active role in your own professional development.
What are we looking for?
- Evidence of strong communication skills; Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing
- Excellent level of literacy and numeracy skills
- Experience of general administrative work e.g. photocopying, laminating and the ability to work well within a team
- Ability to work with teachers to observe, monitor and provide constructive feedback on children’s progress
- Commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of all students
