Learning Mentor job summary
This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping young people thrive, providing cover in the absence of teaching staff, and contributing to a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere.
You will have the opportunity to make a real impact on our academy and on the lives of the students we serve. The role will also involve the ongoing development of the department and the wider school community. We are looking for a collaborative professional who is dedicated to high standards, and who will play an active part in the continued success of the school.
As a Learning Mentor you will work closely and under the guidance of teachers to support high- quality teaching and learning, to help students to remain engaged and achieve their full potential.
You will support a diverse range of learners, including pupils with SEND and those with English as an additional language (EAL), helping them to access learning whilst promoting confidence, independence and resilience. Working alongside your colleagues, you will contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all pupils can thrive and succeed.
You will contribute to maintaining a calm, focused learning environment and support effective behaviour management. Your patience, adaptability, and proactive approach will help ensure all pupils can achieve their full potential, both academically and socially.
Why join us?
- A diverse, hands-on role at the centre of a dynamic and busy school
- The opportunity to collaborate closely with staff and pupils across the wider school community
- A supportive team environment with a clear sense of shared purpose
- The chance to make a meaningful and visible contribution to the day-to-day operation of the school
