Learning Support Assistant job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic, committed and motivated Learning Support Assistant to join our dedicated team at Limebrook Primary School & Nursery.
The successful candidate will work under the guidance of the Head Teacher, SENDCo and the class teacher.
We are looking for someone with previous experience in a similar setting (KS1) who is capable of giving their knowledge and experience to the children in our school.
The ideal candidate will be expected to:
Have experience in a similar educational setting
Have consistently high expectations
Support children by following programmes devised by the school and modify planning to suit the needs of the child/children
Liaise with class teacher, SENCo and other professionals, maintaining accurate and detailed records of the child's progress towards targets
Use their own initiative and work independently to support the child in making the best possible progress
Be positive, encouraging and supportive in all interactions with children, colleagues and families.
Remain calm and flexible, be caring and patient responding appropriately to the varying needs of pupils.
Demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills.
Maintain confidentiality and act professionally at all times.
Be organised, reliable and able to manage time effectively.
Be reflective and committed to improving their own practice.
Have a proactive approach to CPD and further professional development
Have a good standard of English and Mathematics (minimum GCSE Grade C or equivalent)
Have a secure understanding of safeguarding procedures and promote the welfare and safety of all children.
Be committed to promoting inclusion, equality and positive behaviour.
Be willing to undertake first aid, manual handling or other relevant training, where required.
Undertake any other reasonable duties as required by the SENCO or Head of School, appropriate to the responsibilities of the post.

Limebrook Primary School and Nursery offers places for all nursery aged children (0-5) and for children starting primary school in Reception.
