What skills and experience we're looking for
Due to the increased popularity of our school, and pastoral support is an integral part of supporting a learner’s academic success at Kepier, we are seeking to expand our Pastoral Support Team.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of our young people. The successful applicant will work closely with the Senior Pastoral Leaders, within safeguarding, wellbeing, behaviour and attendance, offering support and challenge to ensure that every learner can thrive.
Key responsibilities will include:
Providing one-to-one and small group mentoring to support pupils’ personal, social and academic development.
Working directly with children and young people experiencing challenges with mental health and wellbeing, behaviour, attendance and SEND
Supporting looked-after children and acting as a key point of contact for their individual needs.
Delivering early interventions linked to SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) to reduce barriers to learning.
Carrying out administrative tasks, including accurate record-keeping and regular contact with parents and carers.
Promoting positive behaviour, welfare and attendance across the school.
