  • Learning support or cover supervisor

• Working pattern: Part time: 30 hours per week Monday – Friday, 8:45am – 3:15pm with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break 38 weeks of the year – term time plus inset days
• Contract type: Fixed term - Fixed until 31st August 2025
• Actual salary: Salary: Thurrock Band A Point 1-6 (£15,579.48 - £16,742.36 per annum)

What skills and experience we're looking for

This position will involve:

• Supporting pupils, to ensure they are engaged in learning activities
• Promoting the inclusion and acceptance of all students within the classroom
• Acting as a role model, setting high expectations of conduct and promoting positive pupil behaviour, to create a safe and inclusive learning environment
• Providing feedback to the classroom teacher on the pupil’s progress against lesson plans, the conduct of the lesson and keeping pupil-related records
• Dealing with any immediate problems or emergencies according to the school’s policies and procedures about health & safety, welfare and wellbeing and safeguarding
• Providing additional support to the teachers in the classrooms,
• Establishing positive relationships with the pupils in lessons being covered
