Are you an enthusiastic and motivated SEND specialist? Do you have experience working as a Learning Support Assistant in a caring and inclusive school? Are you looking to join a warm and welcoming academy team based in a beautiful local area? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you!

At Oasis Academy Pinewood, we’re recruiting a team of Learning Support Assistants to support the education and care of children with SEND needs. It’s an exciting time to join the Pinewood family as a group where you can shape your work and set top-quality standards for our SEND provisions.

We’re looking for a positive and friendly team player, with a real passion for holistic education. Working collaboratively with class teachers, you will be responsible for creating rich, inclusive and balanced educational environments for the children you work with directly, in addition to working with the wider class group as needed. In return, you’ll have access to a plethora of CPD opportunities within our academy and Trust wide.

You will expect the best of our students and give them your best in return. Most importantly, you will be committed to and skilled at helping children achieve, no matter what their starting point is.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Consistently showing up for all students in a positive, enthusiastic and motivating way, and supporting them to develop these qualities

• Leading the learning support for identified students with SEND needs, both autonomously and under the direction of the class teacher

• Building strong relationships with families to boost achievement, attendance and wellbeing

A full job description is attached to this vacancy.

You’ll bring:

• Innovative and creative approaches to building rich learning environments for SEND students, accommodating their specific needs

• A passion for working with SEND students, and a sky-is-the-limit attitude

• An ability to quickly form strong working relationships with colleagues, parents and carers and the wider school community

Our offer to you

• Engaged children and staff team that will make coming to work every day a joy

• Clear career progression, both within the academy and wider Trust

• Trust-wide opportunities to make a difference to the lives of all Oasis students

• Excellent IT provision including laptops and iPads

• Access to extensive, specialised, CPD support

• A beautiful location with extensive grounds, on the edge of a country park that we make use of as an outdoor classroom
