Are you passionate about giving young children the very best start to their learning journey?

Curledge Street Academy are seeking a SEND Learning Support Assistant in Key Stage 2 with experience to join their team (desirable). The successful candidate will provide teaching and learning support, under the guidance of the class teacher, to pupils in all areas of the curriculum.

Our SEND Learning Support Assistant will assist in the supervision of pupils and promote learning and safety, for example, at break and lunch times and on educational visits, promoting positive behaviour patterns, raising self-esteem and improving independent working in pupils to assist in their education and growth.

Key responsibilities include;

  • Assisting with the observation and monitoring of pupil progress.
  • Maintaining accurate records of interventions and tracking achievements.
  • Assist with the preparation of differentiated learning materials and organise classroom displays.
  • Support the delivery of engaging lessons tailored to individual needs.
  • Experience in a school setting (desirable).

There may also be a requirement to administer First Aid, subject to appropriate training.

We will provide Safeguarding, and any other relevant training required to support you in working effectively within our settings.

The hours will be 8.40am – 3.20pm. Monday to Friday.

**This is a fixed term position until 31 August 2027**
