About the Role:
- Support the teaching of a structured curriculum across all subjects, as guided by the class teacher.
- Plan and deliver engaging and inclusive lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of pupils.
- Foster a nurturing and supportive learning environment where every child feels valued.
- Work closely with SEND specialists, teachers, and therapists to ensure personalised learning.
- Promote the development of social, emotional, and communication skills through creative expression.
- Adapting strategies to support individual learning needs, taking initiative where needed.
Person Specification:
Essential:
✔ Experience supporting children with SEND.
✔ A passion for inspiring pupils with SEND and ensuring high expectations for all.
✔ Ability to adapt lessons to support a range of learning needs.
✔ Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
✔ A positive, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting and teaching.
Desirable:
✔ A degree or courses undertaken in the relevant field.
✔ Understanding of EHCPs and strategies for supporting children with complex needs.
