We have an exciting opportunity for a Learning Support Assistant (Level 2) to join the team at Three Rivers Academy.This role supports an individual teacher, or teachers, in delivering and evaluating programmes and adapting teaching materials to suit the particular requirements of specific pupils and groups which may include pupils with special needs.Candidates should possess excellent interpersonal and listening skills with a commitment to helping, as well asproviding a level of support for individual pupils/groups of pupils whose needs require support over and above that which a level one Teaching Assistant is expected to provide. You willassist in meeting the pupils’ need for encouragement, reassurance and comfort and attend to their personal requirements and physical care while encouraging independence at all times.

We moved into a brand-new school building in February 2018 which offers spacious, modern and outstanding facilities. Three Rivers Academy is a school that maximises opportunities for young people to develop academically and socially in an environment that is stimulating, caring and supportive. This was recognised in the Ofsted report from May 2019 where the school was judged to be GOOD in every category.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate basic numeracy and literacy, e.g. through GCSE qualification in English and Maths or equivalent, or able to evidence ability at an equivalent level, and be able to work towards Vocational Qualifications Level 2 or have specialist skills in a relevant field.
