What skills and experience we're looking for
The Governors of Rudyard Kipling Primary School and Nursery wish to appoint a dedicated, highly motivated and nurturing LSA on a permanent basis. This post will be to support our children accessing alternative provision within our school who require individualised, creative and purposeful provision.
We are looking for a special person who is:
- An interest and passion for supporting children with additional needs
- A calm, caring and resilient character
- Keen to develop their practice through training and professional development
- To work closely with class teacher to support the learning of children working at or pre-key stage
- To be reflective and flexible
- To dynamically risk assess and manage children’s safety
- To follow our Empowerment Approach and school values to enhance the children’s learning
- To have an understanding of strategies which support SEND learners, such as Just Right, Makaton, Visuals, structure and routine
- To establish positive relationships with parents and families
