Hamp Academy is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team on a part-time, permanent contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting families, strengthening relationships, and helping children thrive in their learning and development.

The Role

We are seeking a caring, committed, and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our team. You will work closely with teachers to support pupils with a range of learning needs, helping them to engage in learning and develop independence. This role includes lunchtime supervision and will be based within our SEND class/group, working with children who have EHCPs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils in accessing learning activities and achieving their goals
  • Assist with individual education and behaviour plans
  • Promote inclusion, self-esteem, and independence
  • Provide feedback to pupils and teachers on progress
  • Support classroom activities, including ICT and intervention programmes
  • Foster positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
  • Uphold safeguarding, health and safety, and equality policies
