What skills and experience we're looking for

Due to continual expansion, we are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Learning Support Assistant to play a key role in the lives of students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs. You will work with a highly professional team who believe in the inclusion and success of our students and giving them the best possible prospects for their future lives. We are ambitious in striving to meet individual needs and improving their learning opportunities. It is important you have a caring, patient and understanding nature with a true desire to promote and meet the needs of individual students. You will recognise the importance of flexibility to meet these differing needs and show initiative and insight in achieving this. With experience of working with young people with SEND or SEMH needs, you will of course have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to make a positive contribution to our community. It is important you have experience of working with small groups or on a 1:1 basis and be committed to prioritising the needs of students at all times. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be welcomed into our growing and supportive team to:

• Lead and develop this provision to greater successes

• Offer general classroom support to carry out directed learning activities • Provide support to individual students through planned and differentiated activities

• Assist with students’ personal, behavioural and social development through appropriate advice and guidance

• Act as a positive role model to students, making a lasting impact on their lives
