Learning Support Assistant job summary

Are you passionate about education and looking for a fulfilling career?

We're looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated teaching assistant to join our community focused and supportive team at Lift Bexleyheath. We are a friendly and helpful team who are open to applicants with experience within any key stage group.

You're someone who'll be able to:

  • Improve the learning and attainment of students while also promoting their independence, self-esteem and social inclusion.
  • Supervise classroom activities
  • Support speech and language interventions
  • Support students so that they can; access the curriculum, participate in learning and experience a sense of achievement
  • Be a warm and friendly face to students and parents
  • Be flexible to work across any area of the school as required

You're someone who has

  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification - advantageous if you have level 3.
  • GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade 4 or above)
  • Experience supporting children in any Key Stage
  • Knowledge of strategies to support pupils with SEND
  • Understanding of child development and how children learn
  • Positive behaviour management experience
  • UK right to work - we are unable offer sponsorship for this position
