Learning Support Assistant (Maternity Cover) job summary
Hours: 27 hours and 30 minutes per week, term time only + 27 hours and 30 minutes INSET hours

You may have different lived or work experience, gained in the care sector, or the NHS for example, or worked/volunteered with children in non-school environment. You may be leaving college with a level 2 in education and early years, or a certificate in childcare and are looking for the opportunity to share your skills.
The most important thing is having the right mindset for the role. You need to be proactive, energetic, and committed in order to engage pupils and develop their desire to learn. You will help inspire them to be confident and independent. You will need to be calm, patient, sensitive, and able to comfort children when they are upset. We are looking for people who demonstrate a positive attitude and enthusiasm for creating a supportive learning environment.
THE ROLE
You will work closely with the class teacher to resource and adapt planning and support high quality teaching and learning across all subjects. You will help to create learning environments where pupils can expand their knowledge. You will work with the school community to uphold our trust and school values.
