What skills and experience we're looking for
Working Pattern: Term time only (39 weeks), 32 hours per week
Actual starting salary (calculated pro rata): £18,279 per annum
Salaries are paid in 12 equal monthly instalments

We are looking to recruit a Learning Support Assistant (Reading Intervention) to provide reading intervention for students who require it at The St Leonards Academy. You will be based in our recently refurbished library space and work with targeted students delivering our programmes.
We can offer a supportive team and the opportunity to make a real difference to the outcomes of students you work with. The role works across teams and so strong communication skills are key as well as a strong sense of creativity and empathy.
The successful candidate will be someone who:
Is patient, calm and relaxed with an enthusiastic approach to learning
Is confident in running stimulating, fun and educational activities with children
Can build and encourage confidence in children, allowing them to lead their own learning when appropriate
