We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and nurturing Learning Support Assistant to join our Reception team. This is an exciting opportunity for a practitioner who is committed to helping every child flourish and reach their full potential within a busy, active environment where children are at the heart of everything we do.

The successful candidate will:

  • Work closely with the class teacher to support children’s social, emotional, and educational development.
  • Help create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment that promotes children's curiosity and independence.
  • Deliver structured, play-based learning activities and interventions, such as phonics or numeracy.
  • Support pupils with additional learning needs, providing one-to-one or small group targeted support.
  • Assist with personal care, hygiene, and the physical well-being of the children.
  • Fulfil midday assistant duties, facilitating games and ensuring a positive experience during break times.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Ideally has previous experience working within a Nursery or EYFS setting.
  • Demonstrates a sound understanding of child development and effective Early Years pedagogy.
  • Is warm, caring, patient, and empathetic.
  • Is flexible and able to adapt their approach to meet the individual needs of every child.
  • Works effectively as part of a collaborative and supportive team.
  • Has strong communication skills to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Is willing to undertake relevant training to further their professional development.
