Full time, part time: We are looking to employ a learning support assistant to support a child with special educational needs who has an Education and Health Care Plan. The hours of this position are in line with the hours of support outlined in the EHCP.

What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking to appoint Learning Support Assistants who are:

  • Highly motivated, creative and well organised
  • Able to work with a range of pupils who have Special Educational Needs/disabilities
  • Have an NVQ 3 or equivalent qualification
  • Be a great team player who can collaborate with others and contribute to the smooth functioning and workings of the school
  • Be able to adapt activities and facilitate learning for individuals
  • Be able to plan for pupils alongside the teacher, providing an individualised curriculum to suit the needs of your key pupil so they can reach their potential
  • Provide learning experiences which develop the whole child so that they can gain the independence and skills they need to prepare them for adulthood
