Leisure Operations Assistant job summary

Position: Leisure Operations Assistant

Location: On site, Westbury-on-Trym BS9 3BA

Hours: This is an all year round role working a full day on a Saturday (8.30 am to 8.15 pm) and a Tuesday evening (5.45 pm to 9.15 pm) plus additional overtime as required. These hours could be covered by one or more people, therefore we welcome applications from individuals wishing to only work some of these hours.

The closing date for this position will be Tuesday 29th July at 8:00AM

We are looking for a organised and dynamic Leisure Operations Assistants to support our Leisure Operations team. This role is responsible for ensuring the safe efficient and profitable operation of the school’s Leisure facilities in alignment with the needs of the school’s other departments, such as PE and in compliance with local and national legislation.


Key responsibilities include:

• Providing a professional and friendly welcome to all site facility users and enquirers;

• Delivery of service standards in accordance with the processes and procedures detailed in the Operating Procedures and Risk Assessments;

• Monitoring the use of lettings across Badminton School to include the sports centre, all weather surface, swimming pool and netball/tennis courts (and as necessary the Hub and other buildings);

• Working cooperatively with Leisure Operations colleagues

• Setting up of equipment across Leisure facilities including, but not limited to the sports centre, all weather surface, swimming pool, fencing piste and fitness suites in advance of bookings detailed in the weekly program, provided by the Lettings Manager via the Outlook Calendar;

• Assisting in keeping the sports centre clean, working closely with the Domestic Services team;
