What skills and experience we're looking for
Hillcrest Academy are seeking to recruit two inspirational colleagues to the role of Level 1 SEND Teaching Assistant. This role is of great importance to our work as an Academy. The successful candidate will work under the direct instruction of teaching/senior staff to support access to learning for pupils and provide general support to the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom.
The ideal applicant will have:
- Experience with working with or caring for children of relevant age.
- Good numeracy/literacy skills.
- The ability to attend to the students’ personal needs, and implement related personal programmes, including social, health, physical, hygiene, first aid and welfare matters.
- Ability to support pupil’s needs and asses this effectively.
