An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Level 1 Teaching Assistant to join our friendly, dedicated and ambitious team at Bowling Park Primary School. This is a fixed-term maternity cover position until 31 August 2027, offering the chance to play a key role in supporting children to succeed both academically and personally.
We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and committed individual who believes that every child can achieve their full potential. Working alongside teachers and support staff, you will help create an engaging, nurturing and inclusive environment where children feel safe, valued and inspired to learn.
About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant at Bowling Park Primary School, you will be at the heart of children's learning experiences. Your role will involve supporting teaching and learning both inside and outside the classroom, helping pupils to develop confidence, independence and a love of learning.
Day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Supporting pupils individually, in small groups and within whole-class learning activities.
- Working closely with teachers to deliver engaging learning experiences across the curriculum.
- Providing targeted support for pupils who may need additional help to access learning.
- Encouraging positive behaviour, participation and engagement in lessons.
- Helping children develop socially, emotionally and academically.
- Preparing and organising learning resources and classroom environments.
- Promoting high expectations of achievement and behaviour.
- Supporting pupils during breaktimes, educational visits and wider school activities where required.
- Building positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.
- Contributing to the wider life of the school and helping to maintain our positive and inclusive culture.

Bowling Park Primary School is a three-form entry school for children aged 3-11 years old, situated over two sites. One site is situated in the West Bowling area of Bradford and the second is situated within the East Bowling area of Bradford, a short distance away from one another and easily accessible. Both sites are situated within culturally diverse areas and have built excellent relationships with members of the local community, including parents of the children who attend the school.
