Working pattern

Part time: 15 hours a week. Currently 6.5 hours on Monday and Wednesday and 3 hours on Friday afternoon but these days could be changed to suit the candidate, although Tuesday would not be available. There is also an opportunity to take up more hours on the days worked for the Wraparound Care position also being advertised.

What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Nursery Assistant to work in our growingNursery provision and EYFS. Hours worked will be Mon, Weds and Fri morning: 6.5 hours Monday and Wednesday with 3 hours on a Friday afternoon presently, however apart from Tuesday we can be quite flexible with the days and times.

We are committed to providing further professional development for every member of staffand would support a candidate in developing their skills in teaching and learning in Nurseryand even primary phases if desired.

Additional hours could be added if the candidate was interested in any part of the Wraparound Care position we are also advertising.

Our Federation offers a cooperative team environment with Cheswardine Nursery offering an opportunity to work under the direction of a very experienced and approachable Officer in Charge with a growing number of children alongside and with the rest of the primary school community. We are proud of the way in which Nursery mixes with the school and all ages get along together at breaktimes and lunchtimes in particular. The school is very inclusive and this is something we celebrate.

Nursery will take part in whole school activities and fun events from theatre trips to sports days and the suitable candidate will thrive in our team and 'family' culture.
