What skills and experience we're looking for

The Governors are seeking to appoint a full time, experienced and dedicated Teaching and Learning Assistant to support groups of children within our KS2 classes.

The successful candidate will be required to support children during English and Maths lessons, hear readers and target pupils who need additional support for their learning needs. Experience of working with KS2 children (particularly Year 3 and Year 6) is desirable as well as the ability to use a range of strategies to support learners. Knowledge of Phonics is desirable, although additional training can be provided. Enthusiasm, energy and knowledge of how children learn are essential. Appropriate qualifications to Level 2 are required and GCSE in Maths and English – Grade C or above are essential.
